Home Solar Lighting Kits
Powering Off-Grid Households Across Africa & the Caribbean
Estimated Cost: $158,000 USD (Phase 1 — 1,000 kits)
ACEN's 1,000 Portable Solar Power Kits Project deploys ACEN-branded solar power stations to off-grid households and learning spaces across Africa and the Caribbean. Phase 1 targets 1,000 kits, reaching up to 2,000 households and 6,000 children with improved energy access. Each kit is manufactured and delivered for $130 — covering production, international shipping, customs, in-country logistics, and community training. This initiative directly advances ACEN's mission to lift one million people out of energy poverty by 2035.

She Lights SVG
Gender-Responsive Solar PV Workforce Development for Caribbean SIDS
Estimated Cost: $120,000 USD
She Lights SVG is a structured, CVQ-aligned solar PV workforce development methodology built specifically for Caribbean Small Island Developing States. Since 2023, 58 women across St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Guyana, and St. Kitts and Nevis have been trained under the She Lights methodology — with graduates already entering renewable energy employment. Phase 1 (2026–2027) will formalise the methodology, register She Lights SVG as a legal entity, and deliver the first certified cohort of 25 women in SVG. By Phase 3 (2028–2030), the programme aims to train 500+ women and expand across the Caribbean and Africa via the ACEN network.

Girls in Energy Project
Empowering Young Women in Energy Careers Across the Global South
Estimated Cost: $21 Million USD (2026–2030 Intervention Fund)
The Girls in Energy Project, led by DoTheDream Youth Development Initiative in partnership with ACEN, empowers young girls and women to pursue careers in the energy sector and close the gender gap in STEM fields. The project operates through five pillars — Conference, Competition, Career Mentorship, Camp, and Community — targeting 14,980 girls and working toward the development and deployment of a 10MW distributed renewable energy mini-grid hub across six communities. This community-centred model creates economic opportunities, improves energy access in underserved areas, and builds a sustainable pipeline of female energy leaders.
